CHOOSING A WATERPROOF JACKET
Choosing a jacket can seem really difficult – there are many options that you would like to imagine wearing, but you can’t always get them all. So you have to make a decision and choose the jacket that you think will work best for you. Different usage needs are an essential part of choosing a jacket. A winter jacket for an urban environment is very different from an outdoor jacket for hiking. A summer jacket is often made of very breathable material, while in the fall you need something thicker and waterproof. Some clothes are designed specifically for certain sports, for example, running, cycling or skiing. Clothes designed for less sporty sports or directly for the city have very different properties and materials.
As an alternative to the traditional raincoat, there are more and more styles of waterproof shell jackets available that not only keep water out, but also breathe moisture out. A breathable and rainproof jacket may sound like a complete revolution compared to a traditional, sweaty raincoat, but the old raincoat still has its place.
